Live Oak is a city in southern part of Texas and is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Area. It has a total area of 4.7 square miles, 0.64% of which is water. The population of the city was 15,033 in July 2015 and is expected to grow by about 2% each year through 2020. The main age group is between 25 and 44 years old and represents around 31% of the city’s population. A gender split shows that for every 100 females there were 94 males. The city has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild to cool winters.
